SEPTIC INSPECTION PROGRAM
Since 2009, Long Lake Township has required that owners of the property provide a septic inspection report prior to the sale of property with an on-site septic system. The inspection must be performed by an inspector approved by Long Lake Township on the township’s standardized inspection form. The report must be provided to the buyer of the property and the Township prior to closing on a sale of the property. It is the seller’s responsibility to arrange for the inspection by contracting with one of the approved inspectors.
