ABSENTEE VOTING

With the passage of Proposal 3 in 2018, all registered voters are eligible to receive an Absent Voter Ballot.  To receive an Absent Voter Ballot, voters must first request one from the Clerk’s Office in writing; either with a signed Absent Voter Ballot Application or a signed letter.  Applications can be submitted in-person, by mail, fax, or email.  This application must be completed and returned to the Township Clerk’s office in order to receive an Absent Voter Ballot.

Residents on the Permanent Absent Voter list will receive an automatic Absent Voter Ballot Application form before every election held in Long Lake Township.  Application available to the right.

The Township’s secure drop box for Ballots and other Township business is located in the front of the Township’s main entrance.

EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING

Under the Michigan Constitution as amended by Proposal 2022-2, all voters have the right to an early voting site for all federal and state elections.  The Department of State has published a new early in-person voting webpage that provides answers to many frequently asked questions regarding early voting and early voting sites. The page is designed to inform clerks, partners, stakeholders, and the general public. It will be updated on an ongoing basis to answer additional questions.
